The founder & CEO of Muddy Bay Marine and Muddy Bay Outfitters, Tim Baxley grew up on the water and woods of South Carolina's Lowcountry.

Hunting & fishing as early as he can remember, some people say he may have developed fins and fur with saltwater in his blood. He certainly developed his passion for the outdoors from his childhood on the water.

Tim exudes a passion for the water and outdoors that drove him to found Muddy Bay, with a vision of becoming the country's top marine dealer and outdoor outfitter. Named after the fertile hunting & fishing saltwater bays of the Lowcountry, Muddy Bay has quickly become as successful as the area for which it is named.

As one of the country's leading marine dealer and outdoor outfitters, We have a passion & commitment to the outdoors. Whether backwater or blue water, bay or bayou, Muddy Bay Marine is at the forefront of marine dealers and outdoor outfitters.

About Kim

Kim Baxley guides the boat.

As Team Muddy Bay's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Kim has over 20 years’ experience in financial management. Directing all aspects of fiscal direction for Muddy Bay Marine and Muddy Bay Outfitters, keeping the business in calm waters is Kim’s charge.

Beginning her financial career working with the insurance industry, Kim managed the operations of a large insurance agency and brokerage, overseeing the fiscal management of multiple locations, coordinating the pecuniary organization. She is also a fully licensed insurance agent and broker. At Team Muddy Bay, Kim is responsible for ensuring all departments and operations are running smoothly, including finance and insurance. Kim is a vital part of Team Muddy Bay and actively involved in the budgetary and resource management of Muddy Bay Marine & Muddy Bay Outfitters.

Happily married to her husband, Tim, for more over 26 years, Kim loves spending time in the outdoors with her husband and family, especially anytime spent on the water.

Tammy Whitehead navigates the boat.

As Team Muddy Bay's Accounting and Operations Manager, Tammy has over 26 years’ experience in both large and small business operations. Overseeing all aspects of the financial management for Muddy Bay Marine and Muddy Bay Outfitters, keeping the business motoring smoothly is Tammy's calling.

Beginning her accounting career working with the manufacturing industry, she quickly advanced to Accounting Manager, managing all the accounts receivable and payables for the day to day operations of a large international manufacturing company. At Team Muddy Bay, Tammy is responsible for ensuring that all the departments and operations are firing on all cylinders. Tammy is a valuable part of Team Muddy Bay and instrumental in the fiscal management of Muddy Bay Marine & Muddy Bay Outfitters.

Happily married to her husband, Brian, for more the 23 years, Tammy loves spending time in the outdoors with her family, enjoying camping the RV way, and being on the back of her husband’s motorcycle.

Joining Muddy Bay with over 10 years’ experience with a national marine, outdoor gear, and shooting sports distributor, Amanda has the knowledge, experience, and expertise needed to ensure customer satisfaction expected from a MRAA 5-Star Certified Marine Dealership. She also has a love of everything outdoors, making her the perfect fit for Muddy Bay’s Motto “Let’s Take It Outside”. 

A valuable member of Muddy Bay® Marine’s Parts and Service Team, Amanda has the natural knack to get things accomplished quickly, efficiently, and accurately. When she is not working closely with her customers, vendors, and team members, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends while embodying Muddy Bay’s Motto “Let’s Take It Outside”.

About Nate

It's hard to beat experience.

For as long as he can remember, Nate has had a passion and knack for diagnosing and repairing anything with an engine. As a retired United States Air Force Crew Chief and FAA certified mechanic, Nate loves the thrill of uncovering the problem and figuring out the best solution possible. Nothing gives him more satisfaction then getting the job done right, the first time.  

Hailing from the Intracoastal Waterway on the coast of North Carolina and traveling the world with the United States Air Force, Nate was able to foster his enthusiasm for everything outdoors. He is as at home casting and trolling the waters of Lake Murray as he is hunting the public lands of our great state.  

As a valuable member of Muddy Bay Marine’s Service Department Team, Nate has the knowledge and experience to get you back on the water. When he’s not troubleshooting engines, Nate loves spending time with his family fishing, hiking and kayaking the waterways of South Carolina while embodying Muddy Bay’s Motto “Let’s Take It Outside

If it can be rigged, repaired, fixed, installed, sooped-up, or modified, Bobby is the guy.

When we set out to create the best marine service department on the market, we knew immediately that we needed Bobby Hanna. With a marine manufacturing background, Bobby has either built, fixed, or installed almost anything you can imagine in the marine industry.

Bobby is one of the outfitters where things mechanical come naturally easy. Marine rigging makes sense to him and he loves the challenge to make rigs better and more efficient. Whether you are getting ready for the tournament trail, or an early morning run through flooded timber, Bobby is the guy that makes sure your rig gets you there - and back.

Growing up hunting & fishing in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, Bobby is as familiar with the boats as he is the woods. It is his experience, expertise, and hands-on knowledge that makes him one of the best marine technicians anywhere. When not on the water, Bobby makes sure that the rigs in the service department are ready to go. A valuable part of Team Muddy Bay, Bobby is the go-to guy when you want it done right, everytime.

About Timothy

Timothy grew up on the water and in the woods. Taking his first trophy buck at over 200 yards at only age 10, Timothy has true passion for the outdoors.

Born and raised in Pawleys Island, SC, and later the deep waters of Lake Murray, Timothy grew up in the salt marshes and bays of Georgetown, learning to hunt, fish, shrimp, and crab the lowcountry of South Carolina. From duck to deer, bass to billfish, flounder to pheasant, Timothy grew up with either a gun or fishing rod in his hand, and a boat under his feet.

Although outdoors is his passion, morals and ethics are Timothy's hallmark. Earning Boy Scout's highest rank, Eagle Scout, Timothy practices what he preaches, giving back with his active involvement in both Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation.

As a Marine Outfitter and valuable member of Team Muddy Bay Marine, Timothy has the understanding and experience that only comes from first-hand knowledge. Salt marshes to flooded timber, Timothy knows the importance of having the right equipment and the right rig. Timothy looks forward to using his knowledge and experience to ensure you have the right rig and gear to make your experience one of a kind.
